SV 104A is a new personal noise dosimeter with Bluetooth® communication supported by a Smartphone application called Assistant. For workplace noise measurements in accordance with ISO 9612 standards as well as OSHA, MSHA and ACGIH all settings can be configured in the PC software and can be saved in the dosimeter memory as a setup file that can be selected directly from the dosimeter keyboard.

The dosimeter has a very robust MEMS microphone that has a lifetime guarantee. All vibrations that affect the noise measurement results are detected by the built-in triaxial vibration accelerometer and marked in the time history of the results, so they can be easily excluded from the dose calculation.

Additionally, the accelerometer detects if the dosimeter is not being used by the worker and marks this information in the time history. We have designed the SV 104A to make noise dosimetry measurements easier. First, the voice commentary feature replaces the need to identify the dosimeter with a different type of sticker. Second, the large single measurement range of 53 dB to 141 dB enables measurements in all types of working environments.

But most importantly, automatic calibration is what makes the SV 104A easy to use. Once the SV 104A detects a calibration signal, the SV 104A will calibrate automatically and save the calibration data together with the measurement files, before and after the measurement.

The SV 104A’s list of distinguishing features includes a color OLED display that can be easily read even in daylight or in the dark. The user interface is very user-friendly making setting up and using the instrument easier than ever. Users can choose from several configurable settings files via the included “Supervisor” software. All measurement data is stored in 8 GB integral memory providing a large amount of storage.
