Odosense is an advanced odor monitoring system that utilizes e-nose technology to continuously detect, measure, and monitor odorous and toxic gases. The system is particularly useful in industries such as landfill sites, wastewater treatment facilities, fertilizer, pulp industry and soil treatment sites where odor nuisance and potential health hazards are prevalent.

The system consists of a network of e-noses called Odosense, which are strategically placed around the perimeter of the site. These e-noses are capable of measuring various odor parameters, including Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), Ammonia (NH3), Methyl Mercaptan, Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC) such as Benzene, Toluene, Xylene, Formaldehyde (CH2O), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Chlorine (Cl2), as well as temperature and humidity. In addition to odor monitoring, the system can also monitor meteorological parameters such as wind speed and direction using an external module. This allows tracking of odor spread and identification of odor sources. Odosense offers real-time monitoring, providing immediate information on odor intensity.

It works like an alarm system in case of accidental release of pollutants, and the odor dispersion data can be used to trace the source of the odor. This enables proactive planning for odor mitigation activities. Moreover, in the case of false complaints, the data collected serves as a reference for the authorities.

The system incorporates advanced technological features to ensure accuracy and reliability. The system utilizes unique e-breathing technology, which improves measurement accuracy.

Automatic device firmware upgrades and remote calibration capabilities further optimize system performance. AI and machine learning algorithms are used to analyze odor levels and their impact.

Data communication modules such as GSM, WiFi, and LORA enable seamless data transmission from Odosense devices. The collected data is transferred to the Oizom cloud in near real-time, ensuring continuous monitoring and preventing data loss in case of network failure.

The Oizom IoT terminal provides users with a real-time dashboard to visualize the collected data. Heat maps of odor and odor spread can be created based on a dense network of data points and integration with weather data. This enables advanced analysis and integration with third-party odor modeling platforms.

Odor data collected by Odosense can also be useful for various industrial automation applications in Industrial IoT (IIoT) environments, enabling improved control and optimization of processes.
